Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her highly laudable performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. She won several awards including an Oscar for the movie Piano. She began her career as an actress on Broadway and Off Broadway. Acting has always been her love of life. When she was in fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original show. She became deaf in one ear following a bout of Mumps, but she didn't allow this handicap to hinder her desire to be an actress. After studying drama in college, she moved into New York City with her ambitions with her sights set. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart which was Hunter's debut film. After moving from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get film roles. The role of a supporting actress was securing in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in a variety of TV movies and series throughout a span of more than three decades. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in addition to an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
